He was predeceased by: his father Jake Sooter; his brother Robbie Sooter; his brother-in-law Lee McGeorge; his father-in-law Jack McGeorge; and his sister-in-law Susan McGeorge Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Linda McGeorge Sooter; his mother Doris Grimes; his sister Edie Holland (David); his mother-in-law Kathryn McGeorge; his pet June; his nieces and nephews, Austin Holland (Colby), Brandon Sooter, Bradley Sooter (Chris), Peter McGeorge, Eric Cox, Jennah Holland, Anna Barge and Lindsey McGeorge; his cousin Mike Jones; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Carson Holland, Lexi Holland, Tate Holland, Kaegan Boaze, Jaycie Garcia, Sawyer Kate Barr, Stella Barge, Lincoln Barge, Samuel Sooter and Lucas Sooter. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Jodie's honor to Marshall Pet Adoption Center, 2502 East Travis St., Marshall, Texas 75672.
