He is survived by: his siblings, Grover Godfrey (Arxavia) of Hooks, Willard Earl Godfrey (Reba) of Marshall, Texas, Margaret Carpenter of Marshall, Shirley Smith (John) of Marshall, Phyllis Knight (Willie) of Marshall, Ruthie Jo Foreman (Douglas) of Spring and Mable King of Longview, Texas; his stepchildren, Marvin Anderson of Houston, Benjamin Anderson (Shane) of Dallas, Texas and Lynn Smith; his friends, Emory Johnson and Virgie Lee Taylor; and his sister-in-law Bobbie Godfrey Youman. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
