He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Thomas; his mother Neta Welch; his children, Michael Welch (Kristen) of Woodlawn, Texas, Brad Welch of Woodlawn, Texas and B. J. Welch (Jasmine) of Woodlawn, Texas; his siblings, Johnny Welch (Freida) of Longview, Texas and Lanita Burchfield (Curtis) of Woodlawn; and his grandchildren, Destiny Welch (Jerald), Mackenzie Welch, Drake Welch, Carter Welch and Blakelynn Welch.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
