It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Virgil McAfee (Marshall, Texas), born in Sherman, Texas, who passed away at the age of 85, on April 25, 2025. In the vast expanse of eternity, Virgil shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Virgil farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his wife Janice McAfee; his parents, Cecil McAfee and Alta Fordham McAfee; and his brother Harold McAfee. He is survived by: his siblings, AC McAfee (Elaine) and Patsy Wallace (Gregg); his daughter Laura McCrary (Jason); and his grandson Tyler McCrary. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to one of Virgil's favorite charities: Disabled Veterans, American Red Cross, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Shriner's Hospital or Salvation Army.
