She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Jerry "RJ" Spurlin and Effie Mae Freeman Spurlin; and her siblings, Leonard F "Francis" Spurlin, Charles D Spurlin and Virginia Lee "Ginger" Spurlin.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Cynthia Pena (Sam), Debra Garner, Charles D Spurlin Jr. (Antoinette), P. David Spurlin (Cheryl) and Steven Spurlin (Sharon). She is also survived by many Great Nieces and Great Nephews and countless other nieces and nephews and cousins.
