It is with sadness that the passing of Dean Alan Olson of Maud, Texas is shared. Dean, born on March 28, 1953, passed away on August 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Olson and Ianne Olson; and his wife Hazel Olson. He is survived by: his children, Victoria Chapin of New Boston and Seth; his daughter-in-law Lori Olson of Maud; his granddaughters, Willow Igaz (Caleb), Lucia Chapin and Deanna Chapin; and his siblings, Beth Hawkins of DeKalb, Terry (Josie Olson), Jay (Kelly Olson), Curtis (Sandy Olson) and Zane (Terri Olson). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bates Rolf Funeral Home (502 S McCoy Blvd, New Boston, TX 75570). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bates Rolf Chapel (502 S McCoy Blvd, New Boston, TX 75570).
