He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Boyd and Tinnie Boyd Stacy; and his wife Martha Ann Boyd. He is survived by: his daughter Karen Read of Maud, Texas; his grandchildren, Christopher Abston of Maud, Matthew Abston of Maud and Kinsley Boyd of Gainesville, Texas; his great grandchildren, Alex Abston of Maud and Bradley Abston of Maud, Texas; his brothers, Joe (Shelia Stacey) and James Stacey of Alabama; and his cousins, Rusty "Melvin" Rushing and Nancy Boyd. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bates-Rolf Funeral Home – New Boston (502 S McCoy Blvd, New Boston, TX 75570). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church – Maud (362 Houston Dr, Maud, TX 75567).
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital at archildrens.org; or to First Baptist Church – Maud, Texas (362 Houston Dr - Maud, Texas 75567) or Rock Creek Baptist Church (4341 FM 2149 - Maud, Texas 75567).
