He is survived by: his sibling Christian Church; his wife Juana Maria Ayala; his stepson Antonio Cervantes; his children, Efrain Ayala, Jr. (Jennifer), Claudia Vela (Edward) and Daniel Ayala; his stepgrandchildren, Nina Cervantes, Crystal Cervantes, Cesar Cervantes, Marisol Cervantes and Olivia Cervantes; his grandchildren, Li-Ana Ayala, Abrihet Ayala, Arely Vela, Emma Vela, Everly Vela and Edward Jr.; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ricky Perez, Felix Cervantes, Andrew Rodriguez and Marcela James. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
