She is survived by: her husband Daniel Castillo; her children, Luis Correa, Alice Bocanegra, Maribel Santana (Hugo), Daniella Castillo (Edward Casas), Daniel Castillo, Jr. and Mabel Gomez; her siblings, Jose Ambrosio Maldonado, Maria Del Refugio Gaona and Margret Lopez; and her grandchildren, David Bocanegra, Jr., Arlette Barajas, Dania Casas, Alani Santana and Anahí Santana. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rivera Funeral Home - McAllen (1901 Pecan Blvd, McAllen, TX 78501). A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (2201 Martin Ave, McAllen, TX 78504). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Valley Memorial Gardens (3605 N Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
