It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jose Guzman of McAllen, Texas, who passed away on October 21, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfredo Guzman and Maria Guadalupe Sanchez; his son Hernan; and his brothers, Manuel and Gilberto.
He is survived by: his wife Graciela Guzman; his children, Julian, Marissa, Rene and Ivan; and his brother Fidencio. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rivera Funeral Home (1901 Pecan Blvd, McAllen, TX 78501). A rosary was held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (923 Matamoros St, Mission, TX 78572). A burial was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Valley Memorial Gardens (3605 N Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
