He was predeceased by: his parents, Basilio Reyes and Antonia Reyes; his siblings, Christella Yanez and Basilio Reyes Jr. (Sandra Reyes); his son Lcpl Geraldo Travis Reyes; his stepdaughter Joann Sepulveda; and his pet Shallow.

He is survived by: his sisters, Maria D. Mora, Lucia Barriero, Norma O. Reyes and Melissa Garza; his stepchildren, Crystal Rodriguez, Carmentina Lozano and Roy Lozano; Belinda Garza. He is also survived by step grandchildren, three nieces, seven nephews, and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.
