He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Jackson and Manuela Jackson; and his wife Carmen Ramirez Jackson. He is survived by: his children, Le Roy Jackson, Jr. (Brenda Lopez) and Adrianna Caldwell (Gregory); his grandchildren, Katherine Caldwell, Hunter R. Jackson (Victoria), Avery L. Jackson and Devin Lewis; his great grandchildren, Tristen Jackson, Ryder Jackson, Debra Rodriguez and Lucas Rodriguez; and his sisters, Irma Limas and Amanda Solis.
He taught 7th and 8th grade math at La Joya ISD where he was selected to participate in a National Science Foundation Math Institute at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and also at the University of Texas at Austin.
