We are sad to announce that on July 8, 2025, at the age of 93, Lilia A. Hernandez of McAllen, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Blas Alonzo and Jovita Guerra; her husband Tomas A. Hernandez; her daughter Hermelinda Hernandez; and her siblings, Hortencia Rios, Evangelina Garcia, Jovita Pennsinger, Ricardo and Armando Alonzo.
She is survived by: her son Agapito Hernandez; and her siblings, Aurelia Zenhertmeyer, Susan Killion, Victor Alonzo, Rita Alonzo and Blas Alonzo.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rivera Funeral Home (1901 Pecan Blvd, McAllen, TX 78501). A rosary was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Piedad Cemetery (1801 Wichita Ave, McAllen, TX 78501).
