He was predeceased by: his daughter Daisy González-Alaniz; his parents, Roberto González and Olympia González; his sister Norma Linda González-Zarate; and his brother-in-law Fermin Cobo.
He is survived by: his wife Margarita Gutierrez; his daughter Debbie Fernandez (Santiago); his son-in-law Gilbert Alaniz; his grandchildren, Natalia Lopez (Mychal Gadison), Javier Lopez, Alexa Fernandez and Andre Fernandez; his great grandchild Xena D. Gadison; and his siblings, Graciela Cobo and Rene González (Irma). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Legacy Chapels (4610 S Jackson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A rosary will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church (1108 W Hackberry Ave, McAllen, TX 78501). A burial will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery (2520 Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
