He is survived by: his wife Tina; his daughter Rachel (Timothy Wilkins); his grandchildren, Carson, Dylan and Hunter; his sons, Kyle of San Antonio and Kevin of San Antonio; his sister Linda Schweigert of Plano; and his nieces, Mandy and Lisa.

He served as President of the McAllen Kiwanis Club, was a board member of the Mission Planning and Zoning Committee, and also served on the Sharyland ISD Education Foundation Board.
