She was predeceased by: her parents, Rosa Guajardo and Juvencio Guajardo; her grandchildren, Jose Luis Garza, Beto Garza, Jennifer Navarro, Michelle Reyes and Adan Demetrio Barrientos, Jr.; and her great grandchild Angel Acosta III.

She is survived by: her children, Adan Barrientos (Idolina), Tina Acosta (Juan Rodriguez), Betty Garza (Jose Luis) and Vicky Barrientos; and her grandchildren, Angel Acosta, Jr., Juan Rodriguez, Alyssa Acosta, Bonnie Barrientos, Coco De La Garza, Brandy Puga, Star Faz, Janette Villegas (Efrain) and Jaylen Rodriguez. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rivera Funeral Home - McAllen (1901 Pecan Blvd, McAllen, TX 78501). A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (1108 Hackberry Ave, McAllen, TX 78501). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Roselawn Cemetery (1201 S Main St, McAllen, TX 78501).
