He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Chalk and Ethel Chalk (Sparks); his sister Phyllis Eggenberg; and his son-in-law Gary Shastid. He is survived by: his wife Mary Price Chalk; his children, Ricky Chalk (Kim) of Celeste and Tonja Shastid of Allen, Texas; his grandsons, Cody Shastid of Allen and Chris Sherman (Amber) of Celeste, Texas; and his siblings, Irene Moore of Durant, Oklahoma, Helen Gray (late Willie) of Durant, Oklahoma and Mike Chalk (Marti) of Dallas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
