It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Max Lee Stabel of Menard, Texas, born in Higgins, Texas, who passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Max shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Max farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Sell and Ruth Stabel Sell; and his niece Amber Dawn Parr. He is survived by: his wife Marsha Mills; his sister Carol Stabel of Corpus Christi; his uncle Paul Malcolm of Odessa; his nephew Kenneth Mills; and his great-nephew Brandon Parr. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
