He is survived by: his son Jason Splawn; his granddaughter Hayley; his daughter Shalyn McDearmon; his grandson Benjamin Wolfe III; his sister Paula Myers; his niece Lorie Butts (Jeff); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brittany and Logan Patch.
The family requests that, instead of flowers, donations be made in David's name to First Methodist Church of Meridian as a tribute to his enduring faith and commitment to helping others.
