Donald L. Adair Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald L. Adair of Merkel, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Link Adair and Mary Jane Adair; his wife Dolores Hunter; and his siblings, Arie Jane and Harice Winn Adair.
He is survived by: his sister Zoie Russell (Jerry) of Merkel; his children, Sheila Adair Eaton (Kevin) of Aledo and Scott Adair; his foster daughter Holly Mowat of Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Blake Steele of Weatherford, Natalie Church (Cody) of Weatherford, Colton Adair (Brittany) of Abilene, Corde Adair (Celeigh) of Ovalo, Katie Eaton of Seattle, Korbin Eaton of Seattle, Kennedy Hamilton (Cody) of Seattle and Kamryn Eaton of Seattle.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Merkel Church of Christ (700 Ash St, Merkel, TX 79536). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local Meals on Wheels.
