She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Gray Jones and Fannie Eudora Hasley; her former husband Jimmy Donald "Sonny" Riggan; her stepdaughter Kaye Donn Burt; her stepgreat-grandchild Slade Michael Burns; and her siblings, Tom Jones, Faye Clark (Bill Clark), Mary Massey (A. J.) and Lucille Wright (Pete Wright).
She is survived by: her husband Donald Burt; her sons, Derrell Riggan (Melissa Riggan), Donnie Riggan (Tammy Riggan) and Danny Riggan (Donna Riggan); her stepchildren, Connie Harshaw and Russell Burt (Kathlyn Burt); and her siblings, John Jones (Wilma Jones) of Sugar Land and Opal Marsh (John Marsh) of Buchanan. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel (1022 N 2nd St, Merkel, TX 79536). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (301 Locust St, Merkel, TX 79536).
In lieu of flowers that donations can be made to Calvary Baptist Church, White Church Cemetery or Hendrick Hospice of Abilene.
