It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luann Rogers of Merkel, Texas, who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Luann Rogers to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her father Weldon R. Stewart. She is survived by: her husband Dave Rogers of Merkel, TX; her children, Emily Hopkins (Jess) of Oplin, TX, Katherine Neal (Danny) of Hurst, TX and Benjamin Rogers of Buda, TX; her mother Lee Stewart (Hardgrave) of Austin, TX; her siblings, Jeff, David Stewart and Heather Jichi; and her grandchildren, Boris Hopkins (Annabelle), Sorrel Hopkins, Pecos Hopkins and Hudson Neal. She is also survived by great-grandchild; six nieces and three nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel (1022 N 2nd St, Merkel, TX 79536). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Merkel Church of Christ (700 Ash St, Merkel, TX 79536).

Memorials may be directed to the Southwest School of Bible Studies, 8900 Menchaca Road, Austin, TX (78748); the Fayetteville Church of Christ, 870 Redwine Road in Fayetteville, GA (30215); or the Merkel Church of Christ, PO Box 336, Merkel, TX (79536).
