He was predeceased by: his parents, William Vernon Hughes and Jimmie Louise Swanner; and his brother William Jack Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Hughes; his sister Kay Meurer; his children, Zack Hughes, Jaime Crews (Brent), Heather Hughes and Yvette Albritton; his grandchildren, Jackson, Austin, Billy, Jessica and Tommy; and his great grandchildren, Gage and Ryder.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Anderson-Clayton-Gonzalez Funeral Home (1111 Military Pkwy, Mesquite, TX 75149). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
