She was predeceased by : her parents, Dorothy E. Slaughter (Wells) and Willie B. Slaughter; her husband Ron Taylor; her siblings, Gene Slaughter (Nanette) and Bette Perry (Ron); her daughter-in-law Laura Taylor; and her stepfather Harold B. Sheppard.
She is survived by : her children, William "Bill" Taylor (Laurye Allen) of Mexia and Shara T. Hughes (Steven) of Mexia; her grandchildren, Morgan Flannery, Will Taylor, Ashley Boldra (Justin) and Steven Blake Hughes; her great grandchildren, Wesley McKeand, Penelope Benford, Grace, John Boldra and Avery Hughes; her siblings, Kathy Ellison and Robert Sheppard (Neda); her nieces and nephews, David Sheppard (Heather), Jennifer Sheppard, Gena Slaughter (Rick), Bonita Doyle, Mike Perry, Timothy Perry and John Perry; her sister-in-law Velma Bowes (David); and her sisters, Wynters Cate, Paula Wells and Debbie Sims. She is also survived by her family and many friends.
