With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita Kay Thomas (Mexia, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert McKinnon and Lois McKinnon. She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Thomas; her sons, Bob Thomas (Kim), Steven Thomas (Kimberly), Eric Miller (Peggy) and Jake Krone; her grandchildren, Andrea Kolhoff (Blake), Stormie Mangham (Chance), Susan Pacheco (Jesse), Micah Thomas, Adora Thomas, Zechariah Thomas, Aleah Thomas, Austin Thomas, Stormie Miller, Wyatt Miller and Jacob Miller; and her great grandchildren, Kambrye and Blakelyne Kolhoff.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Temple Baptist Church (719 S Red River St, Mexia, TX 76667). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery.
