It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sam Harris Jr. of Mexia, Texas, who passed away on June 17, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lillian Morris and Sammie Harris, Sr.; his wife Elmarvis Harris; his children, Rosie H. Acey (J. C.) of Houston, TX., Linda H. Cunningham (Kenneth) of Houston, TX., Pamela H. Manning (Rashad) and Anthony Harris (Misty) of Mexia, TX.; and his brother Tyree Morris of Houston, TX. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren, a host great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends.
