He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. "Jub" Thompson and Mary Thompson; his grandfather Rube Thompson; and his wife Kay Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Brock Thompson (Berkley) of Amarillo, Texas and Tandy Diamond (Jason) of Dallas, Texas; his grandchildren, Ty Thompson, Trent Thompson, Kate Diamond, Olivia Diamond and Max Diamond; his siblings, Paul Thompson (Margot) of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Debbie Hawkins of The Woodlands, Texas; his brother-in-law Sammy Judice (Sandy); his friend Mary Ann Gill; J. W.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church of Miami (201 S Main St, Miami, TX 79059).
