It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Arlen Edgar (Midland, Texas), born in Stephenville, Texas, who passed away on June 14, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Zeddie Edgar and Ruby Edgar; his sister Marcia (Jerry Norris) of Stephenville; his nephew Mark (Patti Rennscheidt Edgar); his nephew Brad (Ankie Turcios Edgar); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jackson, Rosiana and Lillian of Oakland, California.; his wife Betty Knudson Edgar; and also Lindsey of Midland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Midland Community Theatre, The Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, or Grace Lutheran Church.

“Arlen was my friend since we were both in junior high school together. Our paths continued to cross as we both went to Tarleton and on to the University of Texas. Time passed and our lives went in different directions both career-wise and geographically. One of my greatest pleasures is that we re-connected in the past several years and have corresponded via email several times a week. I will miss the friend of my youthful memories and the man I respected and cared about.”
