He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Cullen Akins and Lille Beatrice "Jackie" Jackson. He is survived by: his wife Yvette Akins of Odessa, TX; his sons, Britt Akins of Kingsland, TX and Christian (Shara Akins) of Odessa, TX; his grandchildren, Brittany Aguilar of Odessa, TX, Cheyenne Dodson of Broken Arrow, OK, Victoria Rangel of Odessa, TX, Julia Rodriguez of Andrews, TX and Hunter Wynne of Odessa, TX; and his daughter Lisa Joelle Akins. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immanuel Baptist Church (4020 E University Blvd, Odessa, TX 79762). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the American Heritage Cemetery (4100 FM1788, Midland, TX 79707).
