He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Hardy and Bessie Ann Gatlin; and his wife Donna Robey of Midland. He is survived by: his children, John Gatlin (Michelle) of Summit, NC, Deborah Smith (Chad) of Azle, TX and Melissa Clayton (Garrick) of Midland, TX; and his great grandchildren, Jordan Arras (Iris), Jared Arras (Cambree), Hannah Roberts (Chucky), Alyssa Clayton (Corbin), Jordan Clayton (MacKenzie), Taylor Bell, Josh Snider, Jeff Snider (Amanda), Mikala Snider and Jake Snider (Megan). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home (3800 N Big Spring St, Midland, TX 79705). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel (3800 N Big Spring St, Midland, TX 79705). A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at the Resthaven Memorial Park - Midland (4616 N Big Spring St, Midland, TX 79705).
