We announce the death of Eleanor Marie Nielson of Midland, Texas, who passed away on September 12, 2026, at the age of 99. Eleanor will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Palko and John Palko; and her husband Robert Earl Nielsen. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Nielsen of New Albany, OH, Donn (Louise Nielsen) of Bosque Farms, NM and David (Shirley Nielsen) of Midland, TX; her grandchildren, Robert (Elena Purcell) of Columbus, OH and Kelsey Nielsen of Albuquerque, NM; her great grandchild Liana Purcell of Columbus, OH.; and her caregivers, Eva Chacon of Midland and Kayla Thrasher.
