He is survived by: his wife Carmen Edwards; his children, Katie Chrysteen Grissam (Josh) and James Philip Edwards, Jr. (Rebecca Lowe); his grandson Oliver Weldon; his stepgrandchildren, Tate Grissam, Chloe Grissam and Lucy Grissam; his pet Lili; and his sibling's children, Jason Gray (Melinda Browder), Amy Gray (Terry Tucker) and Amanda Quest.
