He was predeceased by: his parents, Doxie Gene (Mercer) and Virgil Lee Yarborough; his wife Frances Yarborough (Baze); his son Melvin Allen Yarborough; and his siblings, Melvin Edwards Yarborough, Wendell Yarborough and Laura Draper.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Yarborough and Johnette; his son-in-law Kenny Sledge; his sister Linda (Bill Fish); his brother-in-law Bobby Draper; his grandchildren, Savannah, Kendra (Jerrod), Kenneth (Kali), Ray (Jana), Jessica (Tim), Tyler (Renae) and Edward (Jynsea); and his great grandchildren, Kevin of Miyah, TJ, Quinten, Bentley, Hudson, Grayson, Serenity, Wyatt, Keagan, Ryan, Gavin, Jaylin, Aubree, Keston, Dylan, Bentlee, Kassidy, Khalessi, Jameson and Jaxson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Acres West Funeral Chapel (8115 W University Blvd, Odessa, TX 79764). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
