He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Freeman and Mabel Wilkinson Freeman; his wife Jo Anne; his daughter Kay Gully; his daughter-in-law Carolyn Ellison Freeman; his granddaughter Christie Gully; and his brother Ray Freeman.

He is survived by : his children, Kathy, Darrell, Janie, Gail and Laura; his son-in-law Jerome Gully; and his siblings, Jimmy Freeman, Mona Taylor, Rita Baggett, Beverly Kiker, Kimberly Weidner (Kenny Godfrey), Jennifer McEntire (Justin Godfrey), Cayla Freeman (Tyler Freeman), Megan Green, Aimee Wright (Jonathan Nord), Johanna Weiland, Emily Fuller, Kristen Brandon and Sierra Wilson.
