Merlene Shirah Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Merlene Shirah of Mineola, Texas, who passed away on May 2, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, D. Winslett Winslett and Ethel Eugina Weldon Winslett; her spouse Audrey Shirah; and her siblings, Johnny, Charles Winslett and Dorothy Baker.

She is survived by: her children, Leon Shirah (Patricia) of Colorado Springs, Eugene Shirah of McKinney, Clint Shirah (Traci) of Anna, Texas, Vickie Clark (Billy) of Anna and Barbara Jean Barnes (Jay) of Opelika, Alabama. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; fifteen great grand children; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
