He is survived by: his children, James "Bo" Yates (Suzanne) of Mineola, Texas and Jennifer Yates-Nugent (Jason) of Mineola, Texas; his grandchildren, Kora Harvey, Michael Nugent, Carlie Nugent and Tishy Hardin; and his great grandchild Dakota Hardin.
