He was predeceased by : his parents, Chester Carswell Baker and Bulah English Baker; and his daughter Cathy DeEtte Baker. He is survived by : his wife Mary Baker of Mineola, Texas; and his sons, Joe D. Baker (Robin) of Rowlett, Darren R. Baker (Cyndee) of Linden, Chad L. Baker (Sandy) of Clovis and James E. Quillin (Kelly) of Albuquerque. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the DFW National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
