He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Smith and Bernice Smith; and his brothers, Bobby, Carl and Lonnie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Eleanor Smith; his children, Jon (Carolyn), Shawn and Krystal; his granddaughters, Landry and Emi Smith; his sister LaVerne Roberts; and his in-laws, Terry, Sharon Smith, Ed, Dorothy Sherrod, Bob and Peggy Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells (100 SW 4th Ave, Mineral Wells, TX 76067). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Memory Gardens of the Valley (5600 Mineral Wells Hwy, Weatherford, TX 76088).
