It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jesus Vela (Mission, Texas), born in Rio Grande City, Texas, who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecilio Vela and Demetria Morales Vela; his wife Guadalupe Garza Vela; and his siblings, Connie Vela Roberts, Ernestina Vela Preston, Elvira Lee, Ernesto Vela, Luis Vela and Francisca Vela.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Anthony (Yvonne), David and Scott; and his great grandchildren, Zade, Kai, Jaya and Domanick.
