He was predeceased by: his wife CeCelia; his parents, Kathleen Carlson and LaVerne Carlson; and his siblings, Terry, Dave and Dana.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tammi Baldisserotto (Alberto) of Cary and Bettina Liimatta (Jerel) of Superior, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Savanna Burnett (Austin), Melanie Baldiserotto, Amelia Baldiserotto, Robert Liimatta and Karina Liimatta; his great grandchild Freya; and his former wife Ingeborg Carlson.

The military honors will be held on Friday, December 18th 2026 at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cotton Community Center (9087 US-53, Cotton, MN 55724).
