“Darleene was my best friend for 50 years. She was the sweetest person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We met in Abilene TX, when we lived next door to each other. Darleene knocked on my door with a cake in her hands and a big smile on her beautiful face. From that day forward we were best friends. We spent hours together talking and laughing. I will miss you, my sweet friend. I will be comforted knowing you are where you told me you wanted to be, in Heaven.”
