He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymon Meares and Myrtle Meares; his former life partner Betty Gay Meares; his wife Jo Meares; his son William Royce "Billy" Meares Jr.; and his siblings, Coy Meares, Roland Meares and Joy McCaw.
He is survived by : his children, JoBeth Milam (John) of Waco and Danny Huffman (Lisa) of Robinson; his granddaughters, Candace Meares, Sabrina Meares of San Angelo and JoAnna Milam Guerrero of Chicago; and his great grandchildren, Mason Walker Meares, Colten Smith Meares, Dallas William Meares, Lily Jo Meares of San Angelo and Maximillian Raul Guerrero of Chicago. He is also survived by one great-granddaughter.
