He was predeceased by: his parents, Dalton E. Thomas and Clara Christina Thomas; and his stepfather Ray Howe. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Shawn Patterson and Gretchen Murray; his grandson William Murray; his brothers, Richard Thomas and William "Bill" Thomas (Camille); and his stepsiblings, Steve Howe (Rose), Jan Howe and Julie Regmund. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
