He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Avery McMillin and Vera Jarret; his wife Mary Jane; his brother George McMillin; and his daughters, Amy Velderman and Marlena Sargent.
He is survived by: his extended family, Cullen McMillin (Mikea), Selena McMillin, Kelena Walker (Doug), Thomas McMillin, Jr. (Jenny), Brent Wolfe and Steven Velderman; and his brothers, Billy McMillin and Joe McMillin. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
The military honors was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 9:40 AM and at 10:00 AM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the White Bluff Chapel (1272 White Bluff Dr, Whitney, TX 76692).
