He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Hobbs and Angeline Srnensky Hobbs; and his brother David Hobbs of Temple. He is survived by: his wife Melva Garner Hobbs; his children, Brad Hobbs (Lori) of Belton, Chad Hobbs (Kristi) of Thorndale and Kristi Hobbs Cleere (Jason) of Madisonville; and his pet Reba. He is also survived by his six grandchildren.
