He is survived by: his wife Gertrudes Montes; his children, Jerry Zapata of Odessa, Texas, Eva Abdo of Lubbock and Lina Zapata Gonzales (Joe Jacob); and his siblings, Anita Cruz of Morton, Estella Enriquez of Morton, Dora Enriquez of Morton, Lori Zapata of Levelland, Lupita Cruz of Levelland, Texas, Placido Zapata of Morton, Jose Zapata of Morton, Texas, Chonito Zapata of Morton, Harvey Zapata of Morton, Albert Zapata of Morton and Mike Zapata of San Angelo, Texas. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
