She was predeceased by: her mother Gloria Chavez (Guillen); her husband David Garza Sr.; and her sister Norma Jean Serda. She is survived by: her children, David Garza Jr. (Emily), Samantha Strickland (Kennith) and Rebecca Garza (Abby); and her siblings, Cindy Chavez of Lubbock, Corina Chavez of Morton, Texas, Sammy Chavez of Morton, Bobby Chavez of Lubbock and Johnny Chavez of Morton, Texas. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
