He was predeceased by: his parents, B. F. Wilkinson and Helen Wilkinson; his brother Raymond Wilkinson; and his daughter Jennifer Wilkinson. He is survived by: his wife Janie; his children, Barbara Ellis Bowman (Mike) of Omaha, Brenda Ellis Smith (Ronnie) of Mount Pleasant, Roddy Wilkinson (Jamie) of Wills Point, Brandi Wilkinson of Crandall and Cayse Wilkinson Denney (Jeff) of Ben Wheeler; his grandchildren, Kane Smith, Casey, Kensey Smith Rorie, Jeff, John Berry, Katie, Jeremy Berry, Dana, Preston Agan, Darci, Shane Wilkinson, Jacy, Marla Worsham, Chase, Sarah Lawson, Cody DeGonia, Christopher DeGonia and Mary DeGonia; and his great grandchildren, Reno Smith, Jayden, Jessi Smith Haynes, Dominic, Ruby Berry, Daisy Berry, Josie Berry, Khloe Berry, Jacob Berry of Joe Rorie, E. J, Agan, Brooks Wilkinson, Maeve DeGonia and Margot DeGonia.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Liberty Hill Cemetery. A graveside service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Ben's memory be made to Chambers Hospice of Mount Pleasant, Texas.
