He was predeceased by : his parents, Romus Burgin and Ella Burgin (Thomas); his brother Ray Burgin; and his grandson Caleb Lennie. He is survived by : his wife Doris Jean Burgin (Blalock); his children, Angela (Dale Lennie), Pamela (Del McCabe), Lisa (David Gish), April (Dan Graham) and Brad; his daughter-in-law Lori Burgin; his grandchildren, Joshua Lennie, Isaac Lennie, Nora McCabe, Amanda Gish, Eve Gish, Olivia Burgin, Cody J. Burgin and Hannah Davenport; and his great grandchildren, James Lennie, Abi Lennie, Caroline Lennie, Brent Lennie, Laurel Lennie, Lilah Lennie and Rowan Davenport.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home (2805 S Jefferson Ave, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Gladewater Cemetery.
