She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Voyles and Neva Voyles (Cobb); her brother Jack Voyles; her son Butch Petty; and her great grandchild Trent Floyd.
She is survived by: her husband Howard Petty; her children, David (Carol Bradley), Janice (Thomas Mitchell) and Brian (Teresa Bradley); her daughter-in-law Della Petty; her sister-in-law Linda Voyles; and her grandchildren, Jason, Robbie, Melanie, Ian, Eric, Matthew, Joshua, Shakera, Ashley and Joey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Joan's memory be made to Logos Christian Center, 804 W. 5th Street, Mount Pleasant, TX 75455.
